This is a good day to clear your mind of all worries, to eat well and to have some fun.  I definitely recommend visiting with friends and family or watching a great comedy.

Here's another of my lists, lol:

bulletBe sure your 'Day' room is ready.
bulletMake sure your toilet booster is at a good height.  You don't want to have to do this when you get home from the hospital.
bulletYou won't be able to keep anything with you when you first go into the hospital, but pack up a bag with some goodies (books, puzzle books, ear plugs, CD player, toothbrush, that kind of thing) that you may want to use while you are recuperating in the hospital and let the person know who will be bringing it to you where it is.
bulletIf you are supplying your own walker let the person who will be picking you up from the hospital either have it or know where it is.
bulletFollow any instructions from your doctor.
bulletTry to relax and think about how much better your future is going to be once you have healed up.
