My story is kinda long so here goes.I had cancer in my left hip back in 1989.I had it removed, then it grew fingers off of it which led to 2 more surgerys before I was totally rid of it,in 1991.I got into a wreck with my now "ex" husband he drove us off the road and tried to kill me,didn`t work! The truck we were in rolled 3 times.I survived with a bruise on my back and a concussion.Lucky me? No!The accident happened 3 months after my last cancer surgery.Needless to say , my incision broke open and had to be closed again.I wasn`t healed enough. So, I divorced him(the best thing I ever did).I eventually healed and my drywall business took off again!7 years later I got remarried, 2 weeks after I get married a kid drives down the road backwards and crashes into us!Hello, can you say lawsuit?I can and that`s what I`m waiting on now.My back was hurt.I went to a chiropractor for about 4 weeks.Still alot of pain.I went to my family doctor he ran some tests on me .He found alot of blood in my urine and ordered more tests.MRI`S,EXRAYS,CATSCANS,nerve blocks for pain(3 of em). While waiting in between visits to him I attended physical therapy for 6 weeks or so.My therapist wrote down on my chart that I was over-reacting to my pain.I looked at my chart one day when he stepped out! That was enough to p.ss me off!I made an appointment with an ortho/nuero surgeon for a thank god second opinion!!He ran 2 discograms on me. My L5,S1 disc had flattened out where I was walking bone to bone.I had bone fusion from my right hip(since my left is still messed up) taken out,a cage put in,4 screws,2 rods,a vertabre removed and fusion done.To this day my career as a drywaller no longer exist.I have been told to find another job by my doc.I feel like my whole life is ruined all because of one stupid idiot who wanted to show off for his buddys and drive careless.I`m not a quitter though !It`s gonna take more than this to bring me down, after all I`ve been to hell and back!I was married to the devil himself!!I`m 33 years old I think I`ll write a book with all this recovery time I have!!

Two weeks before surgery I had to donate 2 units of blood for the transfusion during surgery (if needed) And they ran other tests to check for anemic, HIV/aids, pregnancy.  Finally surgery day, everything went pretty good with going into the operating room.I awoke when they were putting me onto the recovering bed.Such pain I`ll never forget!I guess the pain med didn`t take effect fast enough.I was injected with morphine right away. 5 hours after surgery,my blood pressure dropped to 80/50.The nurses stayed up with me until whatever they gave me brought it back up.I came a better christian that night.I had a long talk with God.  Then the next day my fever shot up to 103.I developed an infection.Antibiotics got rid of it after 2 days. I was up and taking 3 or 4 steps with my walker on the fifth day.  My doctor asked if I was ready to go and I said "yesterday"With the help of our church, family, freinds I was able to survive.  You find out who your real freinds are.I had to take more antibiotics when I got home,my fever came back.It took a two weeks to get rid of staff infection.  The road to recovery is slow.It was a good feeling to put aside the walker and take those first steps by myself. My husband cried when he seen me walking.I`ve still got a long way to go yet .God is watching over me along with my dad who past on 1993.
