I just found your site & it was so great to see faces that go with the names that have been so great to me on the WedMd site. I just had surgery last week (w/e 10/15) to fuse C5 & 7 and remove the disk. I am out of the horrific pain and just have a little numbness in my fingers. I am in the healing with it's great to be alive highs and I can't believe I am going to be so useless for so long lows but with my new husband (my wedding was Sept. 5th and everyone says I hurt myself on the honeymoon, not true, it was picking up from the hurricane) and my family and friends and my job (they are sending a driver for me since I can't drive) life is really good. My dog Lola is a great help also.

The good news is I am going back to work tomorrow (10/25) for four hours a day, I feel great, just a little tired and sore. I can't do the physical stuff like yard work I love to do and the big joke in my house is "watch out, she's moving the furniture again" and I am now curtailed from that so work will get me back into being useful. I have had the biggest problem with that, not being able to do the physical stuff I love and letting everyone else take over. Of course, I have the no one does it as well as me syndrome so I have had to learn patience and gratitude, not a bad lesson all in all. After hearing all the horror stories I would be good to post a "success" which is what seems to be happening with my surgery (keeping my finger crossed and knocking on wood).

Constance has been kind enough to offer anyone interested to e-mail her..
