Welcome to the Spinal Fusion Information Page! This site is devoted to helping people preparing for back surgery, experiencing chronic back pain, and for their loved ones. **A quick note to anyone viewing this page. After nearly two years this site is have it's first editing done, and it is going to be a big one. Please be sure to check back for a site that is easier to navigate, has much more detailed information and will include a section on positive pain management therapies. PS - The chat room is NOT working. I apologize for the link still being on the site but it will not be there for long. Take very good, gentle care of yourself! Leslie** You will find information on how to prepare yourself and your home, tools that are useful both pre and post surgery, and different ways to deal with pain. There are also links to sites that give you specific information about different types of surgeries, various types of treatments and shopping links to assist you in purchasing any items you need and can't find locally. On the TidBits page, there is a variety of sites on things like depression and alternative care. On the State/US Help page you will find lots of links and information for things like Social Security, worker's compensation and state disability. One area of the site that is used by many is the 'Other's Stories' page. This is where people like you have chosen to share their story with others. A lot of people have e-mailed me to say how much this section has meant to them. If you would like to share your story, please e-mail it me. Your story could really help others feel less alone. I have learned a lot during my journey in back pain. One of the
biggest lessons for me has been that even in the darkest of days, there are things to be
grateful for. Sometimes it just takes more concentration to find them. I heard
the following once while watching TV and I find it very helpful to repeat to myself on the
hard days: I hope everyone that stops by here finds something useful. I am not a doctor so all the information on this website is strictly from my perspective as a patient. If you have any questions about anything in this site please ask your doctor.
